For Y.B 11/6 Haunted Doll, Masakado - Rare, Powerful Inugami Spirit, Dark Japanese Servitor, Elite Hound for Offense & Defense | Loyal Spirit Companion

Within this rather striking yet cute vintage doll that serves as his vessel, resides the precious, and powerful spirit of an Inugami of male form, known by the name of Masakado.

Masakado came into my keep almost 8 years ago, from the much treasured collection of an Australian High Priestess, an ethical keeper known to specialise in working with Elementals and beings of Light among other unique souls.🥹🙏🏻

If you are little to not familiar with Inugami, it is good to first know that their kind are considered to be one of the darkest and most intense spirit class known in Japanese folk and in the world of the Occult, although not many people know the full story of their origins.

This is because Inugami, while they’re Earth Elementals in nature, they are not naturally occurring spirits.

These souls were Created by the Elite Japanese Dark Witches, through a ritual involving extreme loyalty, devotion, and suffering - the exact qualities and abilities they now carry.🥹

So to better understand, the ritual which created an Inugami involved a living dog  which was firstly loved and cared for, made to trust fully - and then was bound, starved, and buried with only its head exposed.

The Witch then placed food or items just out of reach. The dog’s intense fixation, desperation, and loyalty create a powerful spiritual energy which is then harnessed and worked with, right before its life’s end.

And so, at the moment of death, the dog’s soul becomes not only a powerful Elemental entity, but also loyally bound to the coven/family or Witch in whose name they were created.🙏🏻

Of course, it involves even more detail, both graphic and spiritual, but these are well protected secrets of the Craft, and while I don’t know everything, I also want to keep things ethical - as you may understand😅

Now, Inugami, literally means “Dog God” or “Dog God Spirit” in Japanese language and folklore, however, in Japanese Occult systems the term Inugami refers to a powerful Hound Servitor Spirit, known to have been firstly created through ancient dark sorcery, with roots in Shikoku and Kyushu regions of Japan.

Historically, covens or families known to keep Inugami were both, respected and feared by locals and Witches alike!

The reason they were feared by Witches was because an Inugami can actually “bite” into the very soul or the energy body of a target whether they’re living or not. Their bite combined with their will/intention, can cause immense fear, severe illness, confusion, exhaustion or loss of mental faculties and even loss of life force in enemies. They can also create or break any type of curse, or send them back in an instant, keeping their keeper virtually invulnerable to any and all attacks wether these are mental & emotional, spiritual, physical, or financial in nature.

In the old times, Witches were mostly using the Inugami to attack rivals, though they were slowly discovered to be able to do more than just revenge/dark works, so now they’re classified as powerful, dark Servitor Spirits.

Before I go further into the abilities of Masakado and his kind, I would like to mention something else, and this is regard to their personalities, which will certainly surprise you.

Despite the fact that their creation method is so dark, and that they’re generally considered fearsome beings - more than any other Yokai, an Inugami is extremely sensitive to their keeper’s feelings. They basically mirror us, in a more personal way. For example, if you’re crying for no reason, or feel down for no reason , they’ll be down until you’re high again🤭

But if you’re down from an external influence, you should know that they can be extremely vengeful, even if you’re not - Inugamis don’t ever forget an attack on their keepers!🙅‍♀️

Much like with all of his kind, Masakado is immensely loyal, he will only bond deeply to one person. This isn’t to say he is not friendly, or that he won’t extend his abilities to help those you care for, but it is only One who can command him, and that is his Keeper.🙏🏻

Inugami kind is known as one of the most protective Japanese spirits, similar to a guardian dog deity (like the komainu) - and 

Masakado is no exception, he can even get overprotective at times!

For example not only does he act instantly when his keeper is in danger, but he will attack anything or anyone he deems as a “threat”to you. 

He is seldom wrong, however he begins his attacks slowly, giving the target a clean opportunity to “prove him otherwise” so to speak. And when he is proven wrong, he’ll bless them Generously, so much so that at times I could just tell how happy he was to even be proven wrong!!🥹🩷

Because the Inugami kind are intensely present spirits, they can also be strongly noted. Like most of his kind, he will often tune in to his keeper’s psyche to sense your distress from near or far, so to know how to best serve you. 🥹

And because he is tuning in to his keeper, he also maintains this energetic resonance, in other words - he is bonding with you even when you don’t have the time to do so, making things even easier for you.🤷‍♀️

Among Canine Servitors kind, I have to say that Inugami are more proud and playful.

Not only do they stare at their own reflection for hours when they have nothing to work on, but they are also prone to gathering toys which later they’ll play with for hours as well!😂 Besides, unlike with my other spirits, where I always had to ask who was it, when an Inugami or Masakado himself had assisted me with something, he made 100% sure I knew it was him. And he expects his praise!🤭

For example, not too long ago, I had seen a trend on TikTok, for gaining more followers. So considering I am not very consistent in posting on TikTok as that’s not my main social media page, I decided to try it out.

I honestly barely had a few hundred followers, close to 20 likes, as I had another account which I previously posted more often, however, I lost its password - so this new account, the one I’m talking about was the newer one. So I followed the trend, posted a similar post as the others did, but I posted a photo of Masakado with it. This is only because he asked me to, after watching me browse and encouraged me to join the trend, even though at the time I was quite disappointed in my new page, with having so little followers - ( which is, I guess what triggered him in the first place🤭).

I kept looking back at my post ever since, and I noted my “efforts” resulting in nothing much actually - no followers and only a few views. Then he suddenly returned to me I believe by the 3rd or 4th day, after posting, saying “sorry for forgetting”, and when I asked what did he forget? He asked me to “ check my TikTok and quickly praise him! “🤣🤷‍♀️ I then opened my account and 😱 I couldn’t believe my eyes! I had around 40k followers, and as for the post with his photo - one million views!! I refreshed like a dozen times, and it was still there! One entire million views on his post! And the followers and likes also kept growing😂😱 All because he had nothing else to do at the time, he saw me disappointed in my page, and he wanted to make me happy!🤭🥹

I’m not sure how he did it, as when I asked he just said “safely” - which I believe had to do with the algorithm or something. Though it was there. And it was safe! For he hasn’t made them block or restrict my account at all🤷‍♀️ And to say that it happened naturally - that’s impossible! Because it all occurred like in the 3rd or 4th day after posting, even algorithms don’t work like that!

Surely I gave him all the compliments that I could find lol but truth being said, he impressed me and touched me so much - I will just never forget!🥰🥹

Another time where he’s impressed me was the experience I had with him at the very time I got him. He was, so to speak - an emergency adoption, because he knew me from before in one of my many visits to the Australian Priestess which is his previous keeper, and then suddenly also sensed I was under attack by one of his kind. This wasn’t because of me personally per se. But because there are less than 13000 Inugami in the world as we speak, only this many were created. And given their origins being one and the same - they all share a special sense, they will know when one attacks, and whom are they attacking or in which ways.🤷‍♀️

So because he also saw and knew me, he had alerted his then keeper, saying I was under attack, and that he’d very much like to come and help me.🥹🙏🏻

To be honest, the time she called me I already knew this was no usual call, for she barely ever answers - I usually would have to message or email her to tell her what my call is or will be about. She is the same with everyone, as she’s an extremely busy lady.

But if she ever calls, you can be sure something’s up. And besides, I felt something was up when I just couldn’t find myself able to work, on anything or anyone.

So this happened before I’ve even opened my Etsy stores or my site. I was constantly working on teaching Magic, and on my clients, as a full spiritual advisor and mentor. And because my works “offended” a fellow Dark Witch, as some or many of her clients would follow me -( where I wasn’t even aware, nor did I ever knew of her existence ), knowing I had my spirits family, she then decided to send one of her Inugami, to suck on my life energies and more. This is because in the world of the Occult, it is known that an Inugami cannot be detected by any spirit, however powerful they are! So mines had no idea of anything, especially at first. Surely many suspected and were taking wild guesses before even attempting to assist me. But luckily they always start slower, even if they have a clear goal and intention.😅

So all I felt was being unnaturally tired, unable to remember or even create my schedule, at first. This caused chaos enough to be fair, as I had to send my students back home and apologised in million ways!😣

Then came the illusions, which I believe hit harder than anything - because they felt so real, and caused me a lot of suffering and paranoia. I would see people telling me things or doing things where they actually never did, and I would accuse them, contradict them, and I even went so far as to slap my then husband for telling me one of my friend was “hot” - a word he didn’t even use for me as it simply wasn’t in his vocabulary, and he actually only once mentioned her looks to me. And this was because she had gained too much weight!🤭😂 In any way more things had happened, some worse than others, as time went by, but this is just to give you an idea of what happened with me during this time. I seriously got to the point where I just couldn’t trust myself, because I have only had a few moments of lucidity - one of them being the call with the Priestess, and the first moments of welcoming Masakado.😓

“Stay in your room for 2 entire days, have food delivered there, and don’t worry about things!” - these were the first words he ever said to me, soon as he walked through my door.

And I did, although I kept hearing familiar voices calling me out - this being due to the paranoia from the Illusion Magic that the other Inugami caused me. They kept intensifying as well, with loud bangs, threats and such - enough for me to snap out of it, and realise that my ex husband, the maid or his parents would never ever bang my door or threaten me! In fact being used to my spiritual side, they had always respected my solitude when it came to my spiritual works/meditations and so on.🙏🏻

I’m not sure how, but the third day morning when I woke up, I was normal again, with huge levels of energy as before, and everything felt like a distant, bad memory.

Masakado said “he got rid of him and his vow”, whatever did that mean, and of course, told me that he will appreciate a good praise, like with all of his kind🤣🤷‍♀️

He is my first Inugami, I never even knew of their existence before him and this whole experience, so of course he had to teach me so much about their ways🤭 But most of things I’ve learned through valid, full blown experiences like those I’ve shared. 

And, I am also happy to share that he’s impressed me so much with his abilities and personality, that I got about 4 more Inugamis and I am waiting for my 5th this year!!😁🥹 

So even though I had a horrendous and rather scary experience while he came around, I am still glad I had it - because now I can honestly say I know Inugami’s both sides, the powerful, fearsome and the loving creatures they can be. As both, the keeper of, and the victim of one, so it was all for the better in the end - and I wouldn’t change a thing!😁

When it comes to working with an Inugami such as Masakado, one may begin by first considering them as they are. You may think of them as Familiars, as Guardians, or as Powerful Canine Servitors - for in many ways they’re similar to Hound spirits.

They are darker in nature, that is for sure, so in this sense, they’re pretty much like your regular Hell Hound - only with different origins and personalities. They are more wholehearted I would say, in general as a class - and their bond with their keeper is one of the deepest you’ll know. But otherwise, their works outwards lay mainly on the darker side - while inwards, like for their keepers - they’ll just do anything to have you happy, and have you praise them.🤷‍♀️😁

Far as their abilities go, Masakado and his kind pretty much cover all Offense and Defense Magic. They are known to defend and attack any level of threat, to defend from or cast some of the most elaborate curses, protect against malice, envy, psychic attacks, ill intentioned spirits of any class and power level among others.

They are also known as masters of Illusion Magic - which on the good side they can actually make people seem like they “have it all from you” - especially trust, and then trick them into giving you their All. But on the bad side - they can cause loss of mental faculties, at the very least. As previously mentioned, their bite can be very powerful, according to their intention/command, which can bring about severe illnesses, and even cause loss of life force.🙏🏻

And not only are they able to shapeshift meanwhile making sure their Magic reaches targets near and far, but they can also go fully undetected by other spirits, so unless the keeper already has an Inugami in their family, they won’t even know what hit them!

To begin working on your goals, just sit down with Masakado, telling him whatever detail you think you know about your situation, and your desired outcome, whether this is for protection, return and justice or merciless revenge. He will not judge you, but he will clearly find the truth behind every situation and target. And either he will tell you immediately, or after he will proceed to work toward the goal, delivering the quickest, or the most painful lesson - according to your command, or in some cases, his own judgement.🤷‍♀️

There is no need to work with him together on spell works, as he will handle every task on his own, but if you would like to, he will never oppose it either. Just try and avoid using decor/curios too much, in case he’ll get distracted meanwhile😅 I am only sharing this because he was smelling and licking the sheep bones I used in one of my spells some time ago, and I myself got distracted, watching him and waiting for him to finish 🤭

Now, needless to say, when working for their keepers, Inugami are more warrior-like, in the sense that they are cunning, clever, quick to act, fearless and independent. They know their own powers very well, and they won’t hesitate to use them in the ways they best see fit, even when you can’t decide the best course of action.

But overall, in keep, they can be the most loyal, sweetest, funniest and the most adorable companions - the kind you’d like to keep close to your heart forever, the ones that truly care, and understand every feeling you’ll ever have.🥹🙏🏻 Masakado is all this and more, he is a delight to have around.✨

Generally, Inugami kind are attracted to people who have been hurt or betrayed, and to people who need protection - so you don’t actually have to be a Witch to have one such soul at your side. In my case, I needed protection, but I highly recommend him for empaths and sensitive intuitives, or for spiritual workers who deal with energies on a daily basis. Even more so, because their magic can reach any spirit regardless of their class, and most importantly because they cant be detected unless in the  rare case that the target already has one of his kind around.🙏🏻

For offerings on another note, all Inugami loves rice, so warm rice is a must if you have nothing else available - and it can even be cooked in plain water, boiled. They’re also huge meat lovers, so chicken, beef, lamb and pork meat will do for Masakado, cooked in any way that you can think of, but in small portions, for he won’t have a lot. I usually cooked for my family and cut 3-4 cubes to serve him each time, and he was very happy. For drinks, any unsweetened tea will also do, or plain cold water.

And for gifts, dog toys, small bones decorations or statues, things that move easily or on their own, or stuff that lights up will make a perfect gift for him. Additionally Masakado is a fan of metals, and he prefers iron over everything else, so if you can find a small piece or something made of Iron, and place it by his vessel, he will love you for it.🥰

There is not much need for candles or incenses when it comes to him, but if you’ll have them, make sure they’re the kind you like, as he loves to chill by his keeper as they enjoy some quiet, relaxing times.

And for on the go, he will come anytime, anywhere, even when uninvited, without his vessel, and with his keeper unaware. I have often found him lurking around where I did not expect, or without having called on him at all. He is always on this constant watch for predators, and while he could well stay at home, watch over us from home and even work from there - he prefers to be nearby and hands on, ready whenever there’s need for it.😅

He is one outstanding soul, with so much to give to his keeper, and I am certain someone will be very lucky and very happy to have found him.🥹🙏🏻 And now that he’s ready to move on, I am sure that as he’s done with me, he will choose his own keeper as well.

Activities:

Orbs of faint blue or pastel blue colours, silver and grey

His shadows are quick, but they come many times at one time, I call this “shadows bombing”🤭 - as such is impossible not to detect them when they occur

His steps are gentle and they only come on the count of 4 - as he rarely takes another form that isn’t a hound’s

Breezes of slightly cold air can be noted as he passed you by, along with a faint scent of fresh soil, or even barbecued meat at times

May move/slightly move his vessel or toys/object he finds interesting, especially if he’s not busy at the time

Follows you with his eyes or stares at you intently while in his vessel, this is felt especially stronger when he tunes in to your psyche, to find what bothers you or whether or not you’re comfortable at the moment

His yawns and licks can be slightly audible, especially if he’s doing it more than once - I’ve heard him multiple times, and he’s adorable, as if a living dog is currently at your side🥹

May affect electronics - mostly when at work for you

May gently swing doors by, as he comes in the room you’re at

At times, as you relax you may find he likes to place either one or both paws on your legs. He also does this to other hounds, regardless of their types, and my hounds adores him for it, other Inugami in my keep does not do this🤣 But if he does this on you, you might feel slightly tingling/cold sensations around the spot he’s placed his paws on. Just as soon as he does it, as the sensation does not last long. And if you’re not ok, you may always tell him not to, or do it in a way that you won’t feel it. He will be happy to fulfil your needs, and he is respectful of boundaries, or at least patient until they’re not there anymore😁

He may appear in reflective surfaces like a tv that’s off, glass, mirrors or water bodies, and also photos or videos at times.

May drink/finish his liquid offerings

Telepathic communications - thoughts that aren’t yours, to update you on the tasks given, to guide you, or to share things with you

Visions - mostly he gives off visions of your targets under his current works, like what happens with them meanwhile under his influence

Success in goals and intentions related to his abilities can often be noted with him

Strong feelings of safety, invulnerability, but so love and devotion, loyalty can be experienced with him

Confidence, uplifting energies and comfort can also be noted with him, especially in times of need

He will show his appearance in his own time.

And he may appear in one or both of the following - a large white dog with pale blue eyes and long fur ( looking much like a golden retriever in features and size ), unless his eyes start glowing blue, and you’ll then know is not just a dog spirit. Or a skinny, shadowy dog, more like a silhouette than anything, where the only thing that tells you it’s him, is again, his eyes. His eyes glow a faint blue with white tones - and sometimes the light they gave off stays longer than his form. But in any way, he will Always tell you it’s him, especially in the beginning.🥹
