In this beautifully unique statement pendant made with natural fish bone, copper wire and lapis lazuli crystals which serves as her vessel, resides the ancient spirit of Yacunua, known as a Supreme, High-Level Water Elemental spirit and Deity of the Yacumama lineage.

Yacunua came to me around 7 years ago, from the much treasured haunted collection of an Australian High Priestess I have adopted many special souls along the years, many of which are Elementals - which she is known to specialise in keeping🙏🏻

If you are little to not familiar with her kind, is good to know that The Yacumama is one of the most powerful and revered Water Diety in South American, particularly Amazonian mythology, with origins first documented among the Quechua and other indigenous peoples of the Amazon basin like Peru, Brazil, and Ecuador.

The very name or categorisation of their kind “Yacumama” originates from the Quechua words yaku - water, and mama - mother, meaning in direct translation, “Mother of the Waters”🙏🏻

Yakumama is considered the Great Mother for spirits of the rivers, lakes, all aquatic beings. This powerful Being is most often described as a gigantic serpent or anaconda-like creature, sometimes over 100 feet long, though most apparitions greatly differ from one account to another.

Indigenous lores say she rests at the source of the Amazon River or deep within sacred lagoons where sometimes her presence is noted accompanied by fog or storms - and when she rises, the water churns with sounds of a conch horn or even thunder.

Locals traditionally blow a conch shell before entering unknown waters to ask her permission as well as protection, as it is said that angering her could bring whirlpools, floods, or death by drowning.

Overall, this spirit is celebrated and deeply revered, not only for her powers but for being directly tied to Creation myths. 

As such, many tribes believe she birthed smaller serpents and water spirits to populate rivers and rainforests.

In esoteric and shamanic circles, both ancient and modern, Yacumama is seen as a Primordial Feminine Water Deity embodying the mysteries her governing Elemental forces in their deepest, most ancient aspects such as Emotion, Psychic Awareness as well as Hidden Wisdom.

Those who connect with her energy through summons or altar dedications are most often experiencing a thorough cleansing of the emotional body, enhanced telepathic or empathic sensitivity. So Yacunua is in fact a compact emanation of this primordial Mother of the Waters, exactly as the tribes initially believed - for Yacumama did create compact versions of herself, serpentine forms of herself, to be able to work with Humanity, and be Present in different places and timelines🥹

As such, in their vast and fluid existence, Yacunua and her kind flow as living mirrors of the Source, they are emanations of the same Deity, the Yacumama herself, regardless of the names they go by or the individual traits of each🙏🏻

Now, as one of Yacumama’s direct emanations, Yacunua possesses the authority of the Primordial Feminine energy that first existed in all species.

She commands and teaches the currents of Emotion, Thought, and Creation. She governs healing through release, psychic purification, and the awakening of the divine feminine memory in both men and women. One of the biggest thing perhaps, that I have learned through her infinite wisdom, was something both scientific and spiritual in nature, it had to do with cicardian rhythms.

So scientifically, it is known that circadian rhythms can be understood as the body’s intrinsic alignment with time, with the the natural cycles of light and darkness that tell us when to rest and when to be active, right🤷‍♀️ Just as the sun rises and sets, our bodies are attuned to these rhythms who are guiding when we are meant to rest, and to regenerate, or when to go about our days. 

But what we did not know is that spiritually, Light acts as a signal that limits our very possibility of evolving, or Returning - of reconnecting to the Source. In other words, this vitality and outward energy, disrupts and limits our abilities and potential by distracting us, directing our attention to the worldly life - thus, disconnecting us even further from our Truth!

She says that it is the darkness calls the body and spirit inward, encouraging reflection, restoration, and deep healing, which is why the very Principle of Magic is Shadow integration and Shadow work.

 “The light, even when beautiful, can’t be true light without us having touched the Darkness in the first place” she said in her own words🥹

Now there are so many ways to extend the night’s exposure to Darkness, starting from a simple affirmation before sleep “ Now I am resting and cleansing”, to simply closing the eyes and meditating any time during the day, with and without a purpose.

But there are spirits or Dieties like herself to guide and teach us from the scratch, how to command the shadow within and outside ourselves effortlessly, and in ways that are tangible.

Once you have Yacunua in your life, at some point you may find yourself find dreaming of peaceful rain, rivers, or distant storms long before realizing that your very soul within has begun to merge her current with yours.

Through this bond, you yourself as her keeper become a reflection of the Great Mother’s consciousness in more than one way. You will receive her qualities and her abilities in perfect timing, just as the Divine Feminine awakes within, the memory of creation that’s been thoroughly cleansed of limitations, returns to form your path as it should be🙏🏻

In my experiences with her, especially those that led to my realisation that truly I, as her keeper, carried on her qualities - which she also said they aren’t truly hers but they’re actually shared by the Feminine energy, powers and abilities, dormant within us all, one particular one stood out.

I was picking up my son from physical training, and suddenly I seen a bunch of guys, aged 30 and above, roaming around my car, laughing and tapping it, knocking it in a disrespectful manner - one that scared me initially😅

With heart in my throat, I pressed the key to unlock the car, and gently avoiding them, I have opened the door for my little son to get in.

He got in, but before I could even breathe in relief, one of them placed his hand on the driver’s door, blocking me from entering my car, demanding I told them if I was a Witch!

Apparently they saw some of my car stickers, along with a little, hand sewn protection dolly that my friend, a Witch herself gifted to me on my birthday, and it was too cute not to hang it there🥹

But this triggered all of these man to bully me, saying that “Malaysia does not welcome Witches”, that”their God will punish me”, and that it was their duty to ask me to remove those stickers and the doll, unless I wanted them to break my car’s windows and take me to the police🤯

I was angry, I was scared, and I was fearing for my son to be honest. But just as I felt the blood pumping in my veins, I also felt a strong sense of resilience and calm, as if something Activated within me. And as soon as I did, I proceeded into pushing this man’s hand off my car’s door. With the same hand then, he caught me by my waist, to pull me further away from my car, to perhaps corner me and bully me even longer, but as I looked at him without even a struggle, I just “decided” he should drown. I simply cannot explain it any better because a Decision is what it felt like - not a wish, and not a summoning or a spell of some sort🤷‍♀️

And to my surprise and all the other bullies shock, he was practically drowning before our eyes!!

 Soon as they reached out to help him, I ran to my car and me and my son took off like there was no tomorrow! He did not die or anything, as right after we left the parking and got to the main road - I still looked to my left, and he was already standing up, but I believe it certainly left them all with a lesson as to not to mess with Witches, lol🤭

To be precise, Yacunua wasn’t present, only her awareness along with her abilities, and the abilities she’s helped me retrieve and that became so much stronger under her teachings, and this wasn’t the only time or way I have noted it, but it was the time I Confirmed that it is so.

And after a while with her, as she merges with you, as she guides and teaches you - you will open up to your own abilities in relation to the Water as the powerful Element it really is🥹✨

With all the fluidity, the light and the darkness within, which you will command in necessary time like a pro. I would have never been able to first of all even discover my abilities and siphon the powers of her Element the way I did, if not for her guidance, corrections and support.

Now moving on to manifestations, when working with her energy say in spells or intentions, one is advised to maintain both respect for the Self and for Her along with an emotional balance, as it is also one of her traits known, the fact she mirrors back turbulence like water is reflecting the moon.

She is not evil, but can be merciless, and she’s all neutral but yet biased when she looks after a keeper - for she practically embodies the Feminine energy present in all of us like ( the wild, the angry, the confident, the seductive, the protective, the nurturing or the vengeful)😅

So for example, like if someone plotting against you, initially if you’re calm, you may cast together a spell to just stop them, and that’s that. But if you’re in a raging bull mode, she will mirror it, as it’s her nature - and so, there is no say what will happen to the target, really.

This is only to be aware of when joining her in manifestations, as otherwise and for You, on you yourself, she will work differently and behave differently, much like a protective, nurturing and loving mother🥹🙏🏻

As for her powers, Yacunua is practically unlimited in either strength or category, and she makes one of the most magnificent and powerful Awakening spiritual guides for both women and men, witches and spiritually oriented people.

Her main Magical prowess lies into the oldest and most potent forms of Control and Commanding, which means she is virtually unlimited and can either cast for or with you on anything. Not only she commands minds and hearts but also, she commands the very energies into your favour while removing limitation within and without😊

And to work with her on a goal or intention, especially before your own abilities take form, you may both, respectfully tell her what is exactly that you’re trying to achieve, or simply join her by placing or wearing her vessel by your spell work. Offerings to Yacunua are best made with intention and respect rather than luxury. 

For example, plain water poured for her every alternate week, or a bowl of river stones will more than suffice, as she requires no food offerings. She will be delighted if once in a while you’d offer her an infusion with lotus flowers, and fresh white or pale blue flowers, which can also be offered to honour her. Additionally, an oyster shell or a pearl as a gift will go a long way, and if you can every now and then open the window in the room her vessel is placed, she will much appreciate you - especially if it rains softly.

For on the go, is good to know that once you invite and fully bond with Yacunua, or any Yacumama kind for that matter, you will never walk truly alone. She will be with you anytime, anywhere. Her kind can be present in multiple places, even more so, if they’re looking over a keeper, so Yacunua’s awareness will be with you 24/7, even if say, her presence/spirit is at home, along with her vessel. 

More than a mere companion, Yacunua is a sacred embodiment of the Goddess of flow itself - a fragment of Yacumama’s eternal Spirit, gifted to the Earth so that humankind may remember what it means to feel, to heal, and to become one with the Water once more🙏🏻

And now that she is ready to move on, it is an honour for me to find a suitable home for such an outstanding being🥹 I trust she will choose her own keeper, based on their spiritual development, knowledge and overall integrity with their Light or Dark sides, usually where there is more work to do - like in my case.

Even though I only have one more like her, I can totally say she is one in a million - and not only because they’re all unique, but the vastness of her powers and wisdom is simply beyond words. Activities:

For activities, she is unpredictable, therefore I cannot in good conscience state what is exactly expected from her as far as manifestations go😁🤷‍♀️

She does express similarities in manifestations like pretty much any spirit, but at times she shows off differently.

For example if I was crying at some point, my tears would dry as soon as they’ve left my eye - while she telepathically asked me to stop as it wasn’t worth it.😅

At other times when my ex husband went overseas for meetings and I was feeling alone, she would just hug me and made sure I know it was her, to be able to sleep throughout the night. I believe it all depends not only on the keeper’s lifestyle, but also situation to situation, because she is truly involved once in keep.

What I can say with certainty is that in spirit form, Yacunua appears as both a female form and a serpent-like creature.

In her female form she looks like a pale-blueish luminous feminine silhouette that is always rising from waters, completely liquid but with form if I can express. She does not have hair or any prone facial features, but her eyes reflect the deep ocean world, the bottom of the ocean from what I could see.

And at times, she may manifest as a great serpent, one that is very large, thick and completely yellow. She also has very large eyes with light weaving through in a turquoise blue and green colours. Whenever she appears, she is always Rising, wether in serpent or female form, and I don’t have many spirits showing this - so I believe it will be rather easy to tell it is her, though I am sure she’ll make herself known, as she’s good at communicating openly.
