Páll - Ancient Norse Viking | Scandinavian Male Guardian | Wild Loyal & Fun Companion in Vintage Wooden Dog Figurine

Within this rather cute vintage wooden dog figurine resides the spirit of Páll, a Viking male who is anything but small! Páll was born in Norway, and he lived in the years 780-825, passing at the exact age of 44 years old as he recalled.

He came to me from Lisa, a medium and spirit keeper whose discernment I trust deeply and from whom I have adopted many unique souls along time.

When I’ve asked about this particular soul, after feeling wildly drawn to him for a while, Lisa told me “He is loud”. But I smiled at that. Loud does not frighten me because loud often means lively, and I love having lively spirits in my home🥰

When he first arrived, I have asked Páll to teach me how to properly say his name, and as he said it (Paah -ool) the energy came through like carved timber and iron nails. Short, direct and uncomplicated. As a man’s who did not apologize for existing.

But then I looked at him - at the wild grin, the irreverent energy, that shameless humor and playfulness in his eyes that he clearly seemed to have, and I laughed. I told him “You are totally a Petrică”!😂

Petrică is a common Romanian name, earthy and mischievous, perfect for a man who laughs too loudly and refuses to shrink.

There was a pause.

Then thunder - “Ha! Ha! Ha! Petrică!” he repeated, he was absolutely delighted. “I will take this name in your land” he said!

And he liked it. So ever since I called him either🤭🤷‍♀️

As for the choice of his vessel, the dog I couldn’t help but be curious about as to why he chose it. And as he explained, he carved one just like it for his children, because their mother Astrid wouldn’t let them have one! I then figured the vessel really suits him, and said a lot about himself as well😍

And when I asked him to confirm his age, he said with such pride that he was 44 winters old when he died - as though surviving 44 harsh Nordic winters was a trophy earned through stubbornness alone!😂 His face was truly priceless, and I couldn’t help but laugh again😆

His build is also very powerful, and it makes it all so much funnier! He has broad shoulders, thick arms, and a body that shows he was accustomed to labor and indulgence alike.😏

Because in his lifetime, when he wasn’t going on raids or fishing, he was known as a builder of saunas.

This was no casual build, and not a minor skill. He loved his saunas just as his father. He chose his timber carefully, he sealed walls tightly and he selected stones that would hold heat long and steady. 

He says he loved watching steam rise in thick clouds into the freezing Norwegian air. For him, just as for all Vikings, the sauna was not simply for cleansing the body - it was a sacred space for confession, for bonding, for rituals or..for boasting as he proudly stated!🤭

It was the place where men and women were stripped of armor and pretense alike.

He loved heat, he loved flesh, and he loved life unfiltered. 

He has even told me more than once shamelessly that he enjoyed  “quite some pairs of loins” delivering it with a grin I could feel in my chest.😱

Another thing he enjoyed were orgies.

Feasts that would spill into nights of indulgence. Drink, steam, skin, laughter. Being with just one woman, he said bluntly that it was “too boring”.🤷‍♀️

There is no embarrassment in him about this and absolutely no attempt to rewrite himself into something tame - as some of my other male Vikings.

 He was just wild - he had appetite and he lived fully within it. At least until Astrid, his wife, had divorced him.😬

According to him, Astrid was strong willed and intelligent. Not a woman who tolerated endless foolishness.😅

Women in his time could divorce, and she did - for they were not without agency. A woman could leave, she could build her own arrangements. Some even lived with two husbands or more if it suited their needs and status😳🤷‍♀️

They had 2 children Tyr and little Fyn, so 

after the divorce, Astrid took them to Upper Sweden where she moved. Travel was not simple in those years, he said, but her pride was heavy. 😅

He stayed, and in staying, he lost more than he realised, for seasons passed, his life passed and he never saw them again.

This is the one thing he regrets.

He often said he regretted not spending enough time with his children and choosing feasts and flesh over fatherhood. When he speaks of Fyn’s stubborn stare, his tiny fingers curling around his beard, his energy shifts, quiets. He does not laugh then.🙁

You can really see how everything else in his life he owns proudly. But this..this sits in him.

And yet, he remains exactly who he is!

Very sassy. Very manly. Unapologetically, shamelessly himself.😂🤷‍♀️

Personality wise, I could say a million words to describe Páll, because he is All That! But if I had to choose a word to describe him, I would just say he is Loud - much like his previous keeper, Lisa said🤷‍♀️ 

For example, in his free time, he will boast about past lovers without hesitation. He will speak of his strength as if he could still lift entire houses with one arm. He would tease me when I was overthinking, when I was being dramatic, when I took something too seriously.

Sometimes when I was upset, he just burst into laughter saying “ Ha! Ha! Ha! You’re fighting shadows again!”

And if I glare at him, he laughs even louder.🤷‍♀️

But later, (always later, when he realises it wasn’t funny), he stretches out beside me on the bed or the couch, foot upon foot laying his heavy head on my lap like an oversized wolf-dog. Massive, warm and protective. And then he asks me to “ tell him my stories” - meaning my upsets, or my day.

This is his favorite thing to do😆

He listens even if he pretends not to care about modern trivialities, and he remembers everything you’ve ever said, pointing them to you each time - Especially when you contradict yourself. He does not seem to have or understand the “changing mind notion”😂

He likes hearing about grocery stores, arguments, small victories. And he says all this grounds him in a way, it makes him feel personally close to living again, because he says by now he knows there’ll be no Valhalla for him!🤭

And for all his boasting that “one woman” was too boring, he now prefers to simply lay by his keeper’s side - there is something deeply tender in that.🥹

Now I will say something openly, because I know him well and I believe his keeper should know and not be taken by surprise, like his previous keeper Lisa was🤭

He has a kink - or better said, an obsession of some sort.

He likes to sit on the toilet floor while you’re having let us say a “bowel movement” Yes. I said it😆😅

And before you overthink it, this is Not sexually. He is not a perv in any way - for there is no invasive energy in it. Nor inappropriate curiosity so that you better understand. It is all about the scent.😱🤷‍♀️

He explained it once with surprising seriousness that the smell reminds me of his time and his people.🥹

In longhouses, life was not sterilized he said. There was sweat, smoke, waste, steam - bodies living honestly. Smell meant Presence. It meant Humanity. So this basically reminds him of the world he knew.

Sometimes he may hide his presence but I always knew he is there. I would always feel him quietly sitting, pretending invisibility.😂 If I ignored him, he remained still. If I confronted him, he grins and says “If you wish me gone, I go.”And he does, he really does, Immediately, Respectfully and Always - as my other spirits confirmed to me more than once.

He may initially hide his fondness for bathroom smells - yours or otherwise, but that’s mainly because he knows it sounds strange in modern ears. But he will never cross a boundary, and if you tell him from the start that he could sniff any other toilets but yours, he won’t ever cross the line.🙅‍♀️

With Páll wild does not mean disrespectful, and shameless does not mean inconsiderate.

Now, with regard to his abilities, Pàll makes a wonderful Guardian, and an outstanding Protector, apart from being a most amazing companion as you can probably tell.✨

He does not shy away from fighting off negative spirits and energies which for him all go to the same pot as he calls thoughts, hexes, and negative entities all the same - Shadows🤷‍♀️ And if he sees any incoming “shadow” he will fight it off with only his scream😅 He is either incredibly brave or a “powerful fool” as my Witches called him - but he can manifest Protection in so many different ways, for reasons he himself does not even understand! He also makes a most amazing anxiety companion not only for his bright presence and lively company but also for his way of reasoning with you!

For example whenever I had a certain goal or ambition, and for some reason I couldn’t make it he would always say these words to me “ Don’t be so sad.. You came Here with Nothing, don’t you see you’re on the winning side already?”🥹 And he’d just get the biggest smile from me! I have even quoted this to some of my friends or my children when lecturing them, and it just works so well🥰

To please Páll is the easiest thing, as he loved food in life and he will accept anything. He likes sweets, he likes fruits, he likes home cooked food, and he even likes left overs. He told me he would eat even after being full as long as someone offered or his wife cooked, and this says everything lol😆🤷‍♀️ I gave him anything and everything and he always appreciated, but if you’d ask him for a favourite he would always say “meat” in any shape or form😆 For drinks he is also not picky, if you have alcoholic beverages he will be over the moon, but otherwise any juice or tea will do. Just Not Coffee. He calls it “black poison” and he wouldn’t even accept sweetened or with milk😅 For gifts to be honest he always rejected any offers, asking me to “keep my coin” but I always dreamed of saving up for a small fake “fireplace” as I saw he was admiring this - as he opened some pages on the internet by himself a while ago, and no one else admitted to it but himself. Besides Malaysia is a tropical country, no one would even be interested in a fireplace at my home. So if you’d ask could find one, or a miniature, toy sauna, and even better, if you have a fireplace at your home, you could place his vessel somewhere around it, I’m sure he would love this🥹

For on the go, he is a strong and ancient soul, and he can come both in spirit or with his vessel so long as you’ll allow him or invite him. He absolutely loves to come along, especially if you prohibit him from doing it at home - because he’ll get to “visit” some toilets around in malls or offices then😂

Páll is an ancient yet sovereign soul, and despite his continued existence through our modern times he remains quite unchanged. He loved orgies and excess, believed one woman was too boring, lost Fyn, Tyr and Astrid to distance and pride, he laughs too loudly, and boasts too boldly.

He may hide in bathrooms out of nostalgic comfort, and at times he may lay his massive head on your lap like the gentlest creature when the day is done.🤷‍♀️

He is heat and steam and woodsmoke, and he is regret and laughter intertwined.

He is both Páll and Petrică.

And he stands loyal in the vessel of his choosing, wild, endearing and entirely himself, waiting for a keeper who understands and accepts both his thunder and his softness.🙏🏻

And now that he is ready to move on, I pray he finds a kindred spirit, a keeper who will enjoy and appreciate his powerful and beautiful presence in their lives🥹

*His cause of death was what we believe to be poison, perhaps by some jealous woman or an opponent- but it could well be himself ( though he has never admitted) and he is rather avoiding talks about it 😬

Activities:

Orbs of brown, green, pink and white colours

Shadows, not very often but quite obvious in size

His steps can be noted at any time of the day, especially afternoons as he patrols to make sure there are no “incoming shadows”

Breezes of air accompanied by various scents such as barbecue smoke, fresh chopped vegetables, fresh cut wood can be noted with him as he passed you by. It’s never the same, as these are the things he misses about his time. I’ve even had strong scents of sweat, but I prohibited him from giving these off as I have a very bad stomach😂and I am easy to disgust.

May move/slightly move his vessel

When he’s in his vessel it may seem way heavier than at other times, and sometimes it may even get slippery, as if wet from a steam that does not exist physically but can definitely be felt.

Follows you with his eyes, when in his vessel

May knock doors when he gets in the room you’re at, or tables when he sits

May close windows you forget open, and may also lock doors - to make sure you’re safe

He may cast protective runic symbols on the ground, windows or doors whose finger prints/marks may appear very visible and at times not

May appear in photos/videos with darker backgrounds 

May occasionally be heard laughing or story telling from the room he hangs with other spirits, in his free time

And he may occasionally lay his head on your lap for story times, if you’d allow for it - which may feel like a slight weight, along with warmth and possibly tingling sensation around your legs area

May drink/finish his liquid offerings

Telepathic communications - thoughts that aren’t yours, to share his stories, for guidance, support and advice or to answer you

Strong feelings of being safe, comfortable and cared for can be noted with him at all times

Less negative, intrusive energies, negative self talks can also be noted with him at all times

Positivity, joy and gratitude can also be noted with him around

May show his full appearance in his own time. And he is impossible not to recognise, for he looks like an identical twin/copy of the actor named Jason Momoa ( without the eyebrow mark) and with longer beard.

He is super bulky, muscular as well and I am not sure of Momoa’s height but I believe Páll is at the very least 2m tall. He is also super white in skin tone and wears nothing as a top except for a white and dark brown fur piece, as for his pants he wears some linen dark brown ones, adorned with a thick leather belt tied at his waist. He almost instantly smiles when he sees you have spotted him, and for a long time he said it was him, even if I had already knew for again, his looks are too unique to be confused for another😆😅
