Tukhal - Haunted Keris Spirit Companion, Ancient Dark Entity | Powerful Spiritual Protector, Occult Guardian from Indonesian Mysticism

Within this rather unique vintage wooden figurine that serves as his vessel, resides the powerful spirit of Tukhal - a rare Dark entity of male form, and of the Keris kind.

Tukhal came to me around 14 years ago, through the much treasured collection of an Australian High Priestess, from where I have adopted many of my unique souls along time as many of you know by now.🙏🏻

If you are not familiar with the Keris kind, it is worth knowing that these powerful beings are most commonly associated with the Occult traditions of Java, Madura, parts of Sumatra in Indonesia, as well as the Malay Peninsula.

For most people, the word Keris refers only to the traditional ceremonial blade itself - a finely crafted weapon that contains no “isi”or “semangat”, terms which translate to “spiritual content” or “spirit.” To those within spiritual traditions, however, even when not fully experienced, a Keris has always been recognised as possessing a powerful energetic quality, although not necessarily housing an independent sentient being.🤷🏼‍♀️

This apparent, mild contradiction exists despite the long-standing knowledge that every authentic Keris has traditionally been forged by an Empu - a Master Shaman and bladesmith who inherited both the spiritual knowledge and craftsmanship through generations. Even today, perspectives vary greatly. Historians and museums regard the Keris as an extraordinary cultural artifact, a masterpiece of metallurgy, and a symbol of heritage and identity. Traditional families often continue to honour inherited Keris as sacred heirlooms, while spiritual practitioners work with Keris blades or other vessels that genuinely contain these powerful beings accordingly.😊

Within the esoteric traditions of Malaysia and Indonesia, however, practitioners preserve teachings about the Keris that go far beyond the commonly accepted understanding, even though no single belief is universally shared among the general public.🤷🏼‍♀️

In the world of the Occult, it is understood that not only the sacred art of forging a Keris, but also the intricate ritual of binding one of these powerful entities within it, can only be performed by an Empu, just as it has been since the very beginning.

According to these occult records, the Keris kind are known as the Dark Demiurges, the Primordial Beings who first initiated the Shamans who innately first walked the path of the Dark Arts throughout the region. For this reason, only a true Empu carrying an authentic dark spiritual lineage possesses the authority to summon such a formidable being and command it into service for humankind.🙏🏻

These same accounts further describe how, when tribes across Southeast Asia fought to defend their lands and people, they relied not only upon physical strength, but also upon the aid of powerful spirits, among them the Keris kind. Wherever a Keris stood as guardian, the tribe under its protection was known to prevail.

Countless oral traditions passed down through generations reinforce these records. Some even claim that Shamans with a Keris spirit in their keep possessed extraordinary abilities, allowing them to rise above the Earth itself - to levitate, fly, and conceal their people from their enemies, or launch devastating attacks upon rival tribes through the direct power of the Keris.🥹🙏🏻

In Malaysia in particular, the arrival of the British colonial powers is known to have brought restrictions on the crafting of new Keris blades, a measure that further reflects the immense reverence and fear these spirits inspired throughout the region.😬

Now, traditional classifications include blades believed to bring Protection, Authority, Prosperity, Courage, Wisdom, or Success in Leadership. However, in the world of the Occult, there are only 3 types of Keris known in the world, and only a total of 9229 spirits of the Keris kind that exist, which makes these beings incredibly rare to come across - especially because not all of them are known to prefer being in human keep.🤷🏼‍♀️

The first type is the Keris that will bless or infuse Shamans with different abilities , or to infuse objects ( blades included ) with certain qualities, like those mentioned above. And in the world of the Occult they are known as the Third Tier Keris. 

The second type is the Keris that will only manage and oversee other Dark spiritual entities found in our realms, and within these particular regions. These beings will answer to the Keris, and request their approval when it comes to assist Shamans or Witches. These particular types are commonly known as Second Tier Keris.

And then the 3rd type, is the First Tier Keris, the ones that work directly with Human beings regardless if they are or not Witch or Shamanic practitioners, and remain in their keep. They are known as the Ultimate Guardians of their keepers, and Protectors against all seen and unseen forces. They are the exact type of Keris spirits which most people describe with both fear and reverence along time.🙏🏻

Tukhal, in our case is of the First Tier.

Like with most of his kind, Tukhal excels at creating firm energetic boundaries around his keeper, dismantling curses, harmful intentions, spiritual interference and unwanted energies during rituals. But this isn’t his only area of expertise.

The most important area perhaps, where Keris spirits stands apart from other dark souls, and in which he truly excels is spiritual warfare, just like all beings of his kind. 

In fact, this is precisely why the Australian Priestess and other coven leaders chose to keep a Keris - because these spirits are renowned throughout the Occult world for being the ultimate spiritual Warriors.🙏🏻

According to his previous keeper and my own experience, he spends the vast majority of his time in a dormant state, only fully awakening when he senses that a genuine spiritual battle involving you or your coven is underway. Whenever his keeper or those under his protection come under attack, he will adjust the intensity of his work according to the magnitude of the assault. However, it is important to understand the true extent of a Keris spirit’s capabilities. If absolutely no other alternative remains, they are known to be able to kill an attacker or accelerate their physical aging by draining their life force.🙏🏻

His kind is also known for being able to drain Black Magic from entire bloodlines, rather than just from a single individual or spirit, regardless of their nature or powers. 😬

Now, when he leaves to fight on your behalf, it will not always happen because you specifically asked him to. This is something you should be aware of, because it is his way of working with his keeper. He instinctively senses any incoming spiritual attacks and will immediately pursue those responsible, often long before you are even aware that anything is coming your way.🤷🏼‍♀️

Whenever he departs for battle, however, you will almost certainly feel or even hear it, as his energies are extraordinarily powerful. Besides the sheer intensity of his presence, you may also perceive what feels like numerous spirits around you at the same time. This is because he possesses the remarkable ability to multiply himself - creating thousands of versions of himself in order to confuse opposing energies or spirits and overwhelm them with numbers, during spiritual combat.

Once his work is complete, all of these countless manifestations merge back into a single form. So upon his return, you will first feel his presence/s again, then on a much gentler scale before it gradually fades altogether, as he reattaches himself to his vessel and returns to his dormant standby state.🙏🏻

This is pretty much his role in keep, but the

protective nature of energies, extends beyond the spiritual realm, helping keepers feel more grounded, mentally resilient and emotionally composed during periods of uncertainty by just his mere presence.✨

If you are one who struggle with choices or confidence you will definitely notice this strongly, in the sense that after inviting him into your home and being around his energy, you will find yourself becoming more assertive.

Keris spirits have these special empowering energies about them that encourage self-respect, and the courage to uphold personal boundaries without fear or hesitation, which is something that many Witches treasure about their kind.🥹🙏🏻

His presence throughout my years with him has always been stable, dependable and deeply reassuring. Many times I have experienced a profound sense of calm and relaxation simply by sitting near his vessel, as though every unnecessary thought simply  settles into his silence. He carries himself with the grace of an ancient guardian and warrior that has witnessed generations of Dark Shamans and Witches pass, yet remains steadfast in the role he fulfils in the present, customised to perfection, for his keeper.

As with most Keris, he is not known as a Guide in particular, nor did his previous keeper mentioned this about him - but to my surprise we have shared plenty of moments in which Tukhal did act as a guide to me, and an excellent one at that.🥰 Looking back over the years, I now realise that many of his interventions were not only centred around defeating external enemies, but also around helping me overcome the greatest obstacle any of us will ever face - our own raw thoughts. Few very powerful spirits such as himself possess the patience to repeatedly redirect a keeper toward clarity, especially those with stronger and more stubborn minds, or emotional ones ( like myself)🤭 Tukhal does exactly that, and I genuinely believe this quiet gift has changed the course of my life more than once.🙏🏻

One of my first and most memorable experiences with him was in 2013 during a difficult time where I felt my whole world is turning upside down.

At the time I was pregnant, and I couldn’t understand my ex husband’s family and why was it so difficult for them to accept we’ll move to our own home, after finding out we’re expecting our second child! They kept thinking, overthinking, opposing to this move, and more. I could see them calling and texting, gossiping about us, unaware that I could already understand some of their language. 

I could also understand when my ex husband’s parents would give him million reasons not to do it, and I hurt immensely to be honest, I was crying in the corners!😓

To me this was very important, because as a couple I wanted our intimacy, but not only this, I wanted my mother-baby time I didn’t have while I had my daughter, as it was taken away from me by his family.

To give you some background, I come from a culture where mothers actively nurture their babies, look after them constantly, sleep with their babies at their side while breastfeeding and are completely present - especially before they turn 3. Well, with my daughter I was asked to shave her hair while she was newborn, ( which I opposed ), I was asked to give her away to all family members to carry her, bless her and take her to their homes for whatever else, while she turned just 1 month old. This is unacceptable where I come from, because the babies will be confused or frightened when not feeling their mothers, when not sensing their hormones near. And I would be disturbed even when breastfeeding, just to get the baby out for some distant relative to see and “bless her”. So to put it plainly, I did not want this same experience with my boy!🤷🏼‍♀️

So knowing how badly my ex husband’s family took it, I felt enormous guilt, even embarrassment I dare say - for being “the weird one”, when in fact I was just putting my foot down.😓 I went from thinking about them and this whole uncomfortable situation a few times a day, to whole days and whole nights! I even had a few arguments with my then husband, who seemed to favoured staying with his parents more than moving to his own home with us, his family. 

One of those days is when Tukhal reacted, right after sensing me cry, supported by the side of his cabinet, the space I gave his vessel. To be honest, I was full of anger toward my then husband’s family, him included. I felt alienated, frustrated and found myself regretting I came to Malaysia in the first place, and marrying a foreign man, instead of someone of my culture, who would definitely have agreed to all I was thinking and more, even support this move!

And then I heard Tukhal🥹 “Don’t be angry..the move will happen. You’ll be in your own home before the boy’s arrival! No one is against you. Just like yourself, they simply don’t know that to calm their minds and to stop suffering their thoughts, they need to conquer the Thinker!”

This was the wisest thing a soul had ever shared to me, and it was in the most perfect moment! 🥹🙏🏻

It did not only stopped me from blaming them or hating on them, it stopped me from over thinking, judging my own needs and feeling guilty about them.😭

As soon as I understood what exactly his words meant, I realised how culture, age and emotions limit people so much, that they cannot see what’s standing right in front of them.

These people, his family were full of love, wanting to experience their so special, mix grand children’s early days, and share them with all members of the family as soon as they came into the world! Their advices the interruptions the opposing of our move, was all excitement, love and pride for our two little treasures.🥹

Likewise, my needs were just as valid if not more, and equally important, stemming from the same love for our babies.

I was clouded as well, for the same reasons that they were - because I failed to “conquer the Thinker”, but soon as I realised the truth of Tukhal’s words, all of my negativity fell apart, leaving place for heart to heart conversations with everyone, and for their deeper understanding and acceptance for our plans.🙏🏻

To be honest we were all in a bad place, negatively affected, bitter and non communicative, before Tukhal’s guidance.

I am not sure of just how deep or far this would this go, but looking back I certainly believe these are the kind of things that erodate the foundation of a family, that pushes good people away from one another, especially when it comes to international marriages - where two very different cultures collide instead of blending.🙏🏻

One of my kitchen Witch spirits said that in fact, Tukhal was the only reason why I still had a family back then - so I am guessing he helped me stop my overthinking mind, right on time.😅

Like this, there were many such experiences where in perfect timing he has guided me and helped me avoid certain difficult times in my life - which either then or later I realised where things would go, if not for him.🙏🏻

And all of the times, he wasn’t requested to help me with such, because the truth is I didn’t know he even served as a guide!🤷🏼‍♀️

Again, his previous keeper isn’t to blame for not knowing this fact - because the Keris kind are not known as active Guides throughout the world of the Occult. They are known as some of the most fierce Warriors and Guardians of their keepers, and only that.🙏🏻

On different note, to keep him happy, as with every Dark Arts companion, mutual respect forms the very foundation of the relationship, the bond between Spirit and Keeper.

And while Tukhal responds exceptionally well to his keeper while in desperation, hysteria and anger - in the sense that instead of taking things personally and “striking you down” somehow, he will always calm you and guide you to clarity.🥹You should be treating him respectfully rather than as an ordinary “spirit weapon”, as he is far more than just that.🙏🏻

He is not interested in control, or threats of any kind, in fact he will immediately leave you  and his vessel and never look back when such thing happens, and you’ll be lucky to “live and tell the story” so to speak!

I am not saying he is this way, to be clear, I am saying he Can Be.🤷🏼‍♀️

So if you need his help, remember to be respectful when directly petitioning him ( if you really have to) - because mostly he works on his own, 24/7.🙏🏻

And remember to trust him if he does not proceed with your petition, or at the very least, to ask Why!🤷🏼‍♀️

And the main reason I am sharing this is because, I had him borrowed to a friend of mine some time ago, and he actually caused her (badly built) upper floor in her home to collapse the instant she walked out of her house with her husband!😅

This was done as a response to her constant threats and insane commands to burn the house of someone who she only suspected was involved with her husband - which Was Not True, and obviously Tukhal did not proceed with!🤷🏼‍♀️

Now on another note, when it comes to offerings, while they are appreciated by Tukhal, they are never demanded. Especially because he remains dormant most of the time, after he’s done with his tasks of the day. He enjoys incense such as frankincense, dragon’s blood resin, and occasionally, gifts such as dark chocolate or tobacco -(lit or unlit), but other than this, fresh plain water will always be enough.

One rule known through the world of the Occult that applies when keeping him and pretty much all the Keris kind, is to annually clean and bathe his vessel in incense. And you may do so by using a clean cotton cloth to dust it, and place him above a burning incense - at a safe distance of course.

For on the go, Tukhal’s reach is basically unlimited, here in our realms and others. He can also be in many places simultaneously, but that is only if he knows he must. This essentially means that he can both, come with his vessel or leave his vessel behind and accompany you for any amount of distance or time. He will in fact do so, when he knows that you’ll be needing him in a particular place you’re going, even when uninvited.😊

I would like to add the fact that Tukhal naturally resonates with individuals who carry significant responsibilities, whether towards their family, spiritual practice, community or profession - such as those who lead and frequently protect others. Likewise, practitioners working within darker currents, ancestral, ceremonial Magic and shadow energy work may find themselves particularly drawn to his presence. 🙏🏻

That said, one certainly does not need to be a Witch or Shaman to benefit from his companionship. Anyone approaching him with genuine need of what he has to offer, with sincere respect, honesty and humility will find him to be a unique and remarkable ally. 

Now that he’s ready to move on, if you feel drawn towards Tukhal, all I can say is you can trust that feeling. Connections with Keris spirits are often intimately profound as they choose those of us who they know, can truly benefit of their assistance. I for one was never failed, and neither did his previous keeper who barely parted with him, when he decided to be in my keep.😅🙏🏻

Activities:

Orbs of grey and black colours, sometimes with white grids around them and not necessarily round in shape - they can be oval or peanut shaped as well.

His shadows are dark as well, although not often spotted unless paying enough attention, and during day times. His presence mostly darkens/shadows the places he walks by to be more precise.

Breezes of slightly cool air can be noted as he passed you by, along with a soft scent of frankincense

May move/slightly move his vessel, when he sees fit, and it may also appear much heavier than other times - when he’s in it

Flickers lights/candles - especially when he leaves or gets back from a battle

May affect electronics - either during casting or while he goes/returns home

Certain gentle yet high pitched sounds can be noted, along with whispers in a strange dialect, and also you may note multiple step foots at once, or strong breezes around windows (which could be closed at the time) - this happens mainly when a battle requires him to multiply in numbers before leaving home.

May appear in reflective surfaces such as water, glass and mirrors - but also in incense smoke, especially as he gets his anual “smoke bath” which greatly pleases him

May also appear in photos/videos with darker backgrounds 

May drink/ finish his liquid offerings

Telepathic communications - thoughts that aren’t yours, mainly for guidance or to answer you 

Visions - he mostly shares things while he’s in an active fight, although I have requested he don’t do it, as this got me really dizzy multiple times. I’m not sure he knows how to share to be honest.🤭 It is much like holding a camera while doing multiple things, really quick, and images moves so fast, too fast to catch anything and keep up with what exactly is happening. I prefer he either tells me or he doesn’t. If he does share and you experience the same, please let him know and he won’t mind to stop sharing in this way🙏🏻

Strong feelings of calmness, relaxation and confidence can be noted with him.

Strong feelings of being completely safe, and in wise hands, of the ability to fully let go and trust things will go the right way, can also be noted with him.

Strong feelings of spiritually being at ease, safe from psychic attacks, enemy forces, negativity and hexes, can be noted with him at all times.

He will show his appearance in his own time.

And beforehand, I have to say he does not look “the prettiest”, but he looks gentle, kind - which will most certainly help relax you.

So his height is that of a human male, just as his body features, he is probably 1.9m or so.

His face has male features as well, but he has sharp ears, slightly shorter than a typically depicted Elf’s.

His feet are super enlarged, and he has long claws, just as his hands, and his entire body is covered in short fur that is both gray and silver in colour. His eyes colour is bright purple, and there is this white light coming out of them, emanating only toward his sides. And at times he carries some object that looks like a fork, but it is made of plaited roots or something similar, natural looking. He looks a bit demonic, however his glance looks pure, genuinely caring and gentle. And unlike my other strong spirits, even when taking off to battle, if he sees you noted him, he will look at you respectfully, kindly - acknowledging you before he leaves.🥹
